Kitten Sisters Stick Together and Never Part After They Were Rescued

Kitten Sisters Stick Together and Never Part After They Were Rescued

Two kitten sisters have been each other's rock since the day they were rescued together.

Chatons Orphelins Montréal, a rescue group in Montreal, Canada, received an urgent request about a pair of kittens in need of rescue.

"There were three kittens originally but one of them sadly passed away. The family that had the litter, couldn't take care of the two remaining sisters," Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal shared with Love Meow.

The tabby girls were barely seven weeks old, covered in fleas and hadn't been fully weaned. They never left each other's side and stayed close for comfort after the loss of their sibling. Marie and Stef, volunteers of the rescue, immediately rushed to get them.

It was clear from the beginning that they were incredibly bonded and couldn't be separated. They clung to one another and wouldn't stand being out of eyeshot from each other.

The kittens, Zelda and Safira (the beige tabby), rubbed off on each other, trying to do exactly what the other sister did. "They have similar temperaments and do everything together," Celine said.

The kittens were treated for a mild eye infection and some tummy issues before heading to foster care.

Marie-Lyne and Pat, foster volunteers of the rescue, opened their home to the pair of kittens. The sisters came out of their shells together and started to explore their new abode.

Their foster family helped them learn to eat solid food and acclimated them to their new life as spoiled kittens.

The sweet kitties quickly warmed up to their human friends and began creating all sorts of antics around the house, as partners in mischief.

Whatever they do, they do it as a duo. The pair enjoys their daily Cat TV together by the window, spotting little critters outside, watching the day go by. They adore their people and seek affection from them in tandem.

"They are rambunctious and adventurous and curious about everything. They don't like closed doors and will climb anything that they can lay their paws on," Celine added. "Zelda is a bit more independent than Safira, and Safira is quite a talker and likes to have conversations with her foster family."

The feline sisters are stuck together like glue. When they are not chasing each other around the house, making a ruckus, they are cuddling somewhere. Safira likes to wrap her arms around her sister and grooms her so dearly.

"They have so much energy that they never get tired of playing with their humans," Celine shared with Love Meow.

When it's time to recharge after a long, wild play session, the two best friends will curl up next to each other and purr themselves to sleep.

It's been two months since Zelda and Safira were rescued together. They have blossomed into a pair of happy, snuggly, beautiful young cats. Safira follows her sister's lead, and Zelda looks out for her everywhere they go.

The sweet cuddle-bugs are ready for their next chapter in life.

At four months old, they are looking for a place of their very own. "They love people and other animals. They are easy going and can't wait to find their perfect match," Celine said.
