Meowfest Hits Vancouver This Sunday!

Good mews – meowfest is coming to Vancouver on Sunday July 29th, 2018!  Touted as Western Canada’s feline-themed event of the year, it’s being hosted by meowbox – a popular subscription service for cats filled to the brim with fun toys and yummy treats, delivered right to your door.

Meowfest is a global celebration for cat lovers supporting the BCSPCA and other not-for-profit cat organizations!  This festival is the first of its kind to come to Canada’s West Coast and promises to be a purrfect day for all attendees who’ll enjoy meeting celebrity cats, listening to guest speakers and enjoying the entertainment, enjoy some shopping, meet with adoptable cats and more.

The event will take place at the Yaletown Roundhouse Community Centre. Notable hooman guests include Hannah Shaw (otherwise known by the name of her feline advocacy project, Kitten Lady) and pet photographer Andrew Marttila (aka The Cat Photographer). These two are quite the duo!

On the famous feline front, fans will get to meet Instagram celebricats Pudge (below – left) and Nala Cat (below – right). Pudge is a girl with a fabulous mustache who is conquering the world of social media and Nala Cat is a mega-cute Siamese Tabby mix who was adopted from a shelter when she was five months old.

And to sweeten the pot even further, fans will get to see Luna Rose (below – left) and BenBen (below – right). Luna is a sassy one year old Scottish fold mix who loves to chat to anyone that will listen and BenBen is the saddest cat on the internet who found his forever family just in the nick of time!

Between browsing cat-themed merchandise, attending workshops and bonding with adoptable rescues, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of cuisine dished up by local food trucks. The organizing team are anticipating thousands of feline fanatics coming together for this feline fan fest and event proceeds will be donated to the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BCSPCA).

A great event for a great cause. And the location is purrty pawsome too! What’s not to love!  >^..^<
